Protection Spell

Describe your desire for safety in a single sentence. For example:

"I am protected at home, at work, at school, and on the street."

Ritual Specifics:

Elemental Energy: Fire

Planetary Energy: Mars

Timing: Tuesday, any hour of Mars, waxing moon

Alter Cloth: Red

Candles: White or Red

Incense: Cinnamon (or a spicy scent)

Specific Tools:

You will need a bowl of water. You can add a drop of cinnamon or pennyroyal oil to it. Also bring a protection amulet. (ring, necklace, stone, pin, etc.)

Ritual Action:

If you have candles, light them. For fire, light a white or red candle and say.

"I invoke the power of fire."

For mars, light a white or red candle and say,

"I invoke the power of Mars."

Light the cinnamon incense from the Mars candle. You can hold the incense burner or sticks of incense in your hands. Walk deosil (clockwise) once around your circle, saying,

"This circle fills with a vortex of energy to accomplish this rite."

Read your statement of intent. Dip the amulet into the water and say,

"This amulet is cleansed of all energies except that of my purpose."

Wave the amulet through the incense and say,

"This amulet is charget to protect [name of person to be protected]"

Give the amulet to whoever the spell was for.

Rain Spell

Take a bowl of water. Sit in front of the bowl after casting a circle and chant (over the bowl):

Water Nymphs stike the clouds
So rain will fall freely to the ground.
While doing this vizualize the clouds bursting open and water falling down over the area you wish for rain.
Blessed Be,

Methods of Scrying

Here is a short summary of two of the most common techniques that can be used for scrying.

Crystal gazing -- This is the method that first come to mind when the word "scrying" is mentioned. The crystal does not have to be large. The only requirement is that the stone that is being used must be very clear and as flawless as possible. It helps if you use a crystal associated with the Moon. Light the area with a single candle that does not actually reflect into the crystal.

Water gazing -- This method requires a large black or silver bowl. The bowl is filled with pure water (rain water or water from a natural source if at all possible). Use a dish of water in a darkened room, lit from the sides by two candles. The dish should be a solid, neutral color. If you are lucky enough to live near a pond, lake or ocean, you can dispense with the bowl and just use the whole body of water as a huge scrying tool. (A quartz crsytal, or cluster of quartz crystals placed in the bottom of the bowl seems to enhances the energies.)

Fire gazing -- This method often provides startling results. The energy of the fire really lends something to the visions it produces. Anything from a candle flame to a bonfire can be used. All the usual precautions should be taken, of course.

Mirror gazing -- A regular hand or wall mirror can be used. It helps if the mirror is round or oval in keeping with the lunar motif.

Tea leaves: Use black tea leaves (peppermint works reasonably well if you're decaffeinated) in a white tea cup.

Embers: Use embers (a wood fire outdoors or in a fireplace) at night.

One note of caution: Surfaces which provide a random, high contrast visual texture, such as black tea leaves in a white cup or orange sparks in a black ember, are particularly good for the first stage of the scrying process.

However, the vividness of the visual images formed in this way may pull your attention back from the purely mental images, disrupting the natural flow of ideas. Smooth, neutral surfaces, like the surface of a dish of water, a crystal ball, or a black mirror, provide relatively few visual cues to get you started, but if you can make the transition to mental imagery quickly, the visual surface fades into the background.

Enjoy,

Past Life Ritual

We decided to try the past life spell. The items we needed included:

Mirror
White Candle
Fairy Tarot Cards
Stones representing the elements
Alter Board

To set up the ritual, we added a personalized alter to the spell. We started by placing the mirror against the wall and putting the alter board vertically in front of it. We put the lit white candle centered in front of the mirror on the board so we could see some light in the mirror. Towards the bottom of the alter, we put a white translucent stone starting a pentegram, representing spirit. Going clockwise, we put a green stone for earth, a light grey stone for air, an orange stone for fire, and a bright blue for water. We picked out two cards per element and put them around the alter in pentegram form. We each picked our favorite card and put them on opposite sides of the candle. Then we put the All Elements card in the middle of the stones. The Unmanifest card was placed above spirit on the stone pentegram. Then we used the rest of the cards to cast a protection circle around us. The first two times we tried we had our hand on a BOS. One at a time, we whispered the chant and started. Staring into it longer gives you more detail, but some things you see scare you into breaking the glance.

We had strong results on the first try, more related to the person's looks. The second time was basically finding out what you were. (ie. Jewish and Native American.) The third time was finding out the surroundings, and the fourth time was finding out something personal and detailed.
Now, we can post our results.

Calidus
First Time:
Saw facial features. Included Darker hair and a different hair style, a quick flash of white around the pupils, different eyebrow shape. Each was morphed separatly.

Second Time:
Wolf/Coyote face flashed over mine quickly (scared me and broke the glance)
Felt a Native American Vibe
Felt as if in New Mexico
If you can understand, I felt the color tan and turquoise. More tan the second time, though.

Third time:
Felt as though I had a necklace cut off with a knife
Realized that the white flash in my eyes from the 1st time reminded me of a quick death.
Felt as though the necklace was very personal to me.

Fourth time:
Felt coyote presence in necklace
Rawhide string with turquoise beads, turquoise coyote in middle
Felt as if there was a person in a cowboy hat that cut if away from me.
We took breaks, mostly because we felt overwhelmed. I noticed after each break i felt a major backstrain and felt slightly drained and hungry.

Amore
First time:
I saw a face with short, straight, dark blonde hair
Look about 8-10 years old

Second time:
dark, bleak colors
dead bodies in piles
sounds of people crying
felt the eeriness
felt like I was starving

Third time:
trapped in small room
clouds of smoke
felt suffocated
sense of old-fashioned, but common name like Emily or Sarah

Fourth time:
lived in a big house with fancy furniture
family was rich
older brother
mother died during childbirth of 3rd child
brother got a letter that said they were sending him to concentration camp
father was taken
brother was killed
feeling of loneliness and depression
I noticed after the first few times I was starving like I hadn't eaten in days. I also felt like I was crying and I could feel the tears running down my face, although they really weren't. I wasn't crying at all.

We also noticed that the candle flame would flicker very bright and fast when we were in very deep concentration. It would dim when we lost the concentration or something bad happened.

Past Life Ritual

http://www.angelfire.com/realm2/amethystbt/spellspastlife.html
Items needed:
1 white candle
mirror
yourself :]

Sit in front of the mirrors, turn out the lights, and light the candle. Set the candle close to the mirror so the candlelight can hit your face, but not show in the mirror. After this is done, look in your eyes and say:

Oracle of lunar light,
Send me the second sight.

Stare into your eyes and do not blink.
Your reflection will dissolve and another will appear.
Try to look at the face, body, and surroundings.
After you do this you will have emotions you cannot explain.
But they go away in a few minutes. :]
Blessed Be, and be careful with this.
Blessed Be,

Sabbats [[seasonal holidays]]

Samhain (pronounced SOW-in, SAH-vin, or SAM-hayne) means "End of Summer", and is the third and final Harvest. The dark winter half of the year commences on this Sabbat [[October 31st]]

Imbolc (pronounced "IM-bulk" or "EM-bowlk"), also called Oimealg, ("IM-mol'g), by the Druids, is the festival of the lactating sheep. It is derived from the Gaelic word "oimelc" which means "ewes milk". Herd animals have either given birth to the first offspring of the year or their wombs are swollen and the milk of life is flowing into their teats and udders. It is the time of Blessing of the seeds and consecration of agricultural tools. It marks the center point of the dark half of the year. It is the festival of the Maiden, for from this day to March 21st, it is her season to prepare for growth and renewal. Brighid's snake emerges from the womb of the Earth Mother to test the weather, (the origin of Ground Hog Day), and in many places the first Crocus flowers began to spring forth from the frozen earth. [[February 2nd, ]]

Beltane has long been celebrated with feasts and rituals. Beltane means fire of Bel; Belinos being one name for the Sun God, whose coronation feast we now celebrate. As summer begins, weather becomes warmer, and the plant world blossoms, an exuberant mood prevails. In old Celtic traditions it was a time of unabashed sexuality and promiscuity where marriages of a year and a day could be undertaken but it is rarely observed in that manner in modern times. [[April 30th, a.k.a May Day]]

Lughnasadh means the funeral games of Lugh (pronounced Loo), referring to Lugh, the Irish sun god. However, the funeral is not his own, but the funeral games he hosts in honor of his foster-mother Tailte. For that reason, the traditional Tailtean craft fairs and Tailtean marriages (which last for a year and a day) are celebrated at this time. [[July 31st]]

Yule (pronounced EWE-elle) is when the dark half of the year relinquishes to the light half. Starting the next morning at sunrise, the sun climbs just a little higher and stays a little longer in the sky each day. Known as Solstice Night, or the longest night of the year, much celebration was to be had as the ancestors awaited the rebirth of the Oak King, the Sun King, the Giver of Life that warmed the frozen Earth and made her to bear forth from seeds protected through the fall and winter in her womb. Bonfires were lit in the fields, and crops and trees were "wassailed" with toasts of spiced cider. [[December 21st]]

Ostara,Spring or The Vernal Equinox Also known as: Lady Day or Alban Eiler (Druidic) As Spring reaches its midpoint, night and day stand in perfect balance, with light on the increase. The young Sun God now celebrates a hierogamy (sacred marriage) with the young Maiden Goddess, who conceives. In nine months, she will again become the Great Mother. It is a time of great fertility, new growth, and newborn animals. [[March 21st]]

Litha Although the name Litha is not well attested, it may come from Saxon tradition -- the opposite of Yule. On this longest day of the year, light and life are abundant. At mid-summer, the Sun God has reached the moment of his greatest strength. Seated on his greenwood throne, he is also lord of the forests, and his face is seen in church architecture peering from countless foliate masks. Summer Solstice [[June 21st]]

Mabon, (pronounced MAY-bun, MAY-bone, MAH-boon, or MAH-bawn) is the Autumn Equinox. The Autumn Equinox divides the day and night equally, and we all take a moment to pay our respects to the impending dark. We also give thanks to the waning sunlight, as we store our harvest of this year's crops. The Druids call this celebration, Mea'n Fo'mhair, and honor the The Green Man, the God of the Forest, by offering libations to trees. Offerings of ciders, wines, herbs and fertilizer are appropriate at this time. Wiccans celebrate the aging Goddess as she passes from Mother to Crone, and her consort the God as he prepares for death and re-birth. [[September 21st]]

The Elements

The Acients divided our universe into four basic principles, or what we call elements, Earth. Air, Fire, and Water. As science has advance, the view of these elements have changed, but they are still accepted in magick because they link with emotions, the human pysche, and also with nature rather than today's views on the world. These elements are often used in magick rituals. These magickal elements are also important in astrology. Many occultists think of the four elements as forces or "qualities" of energy, in the astral world. Each element has its own symbol and color:

fire: a triangle pointing up, red
air: a triangle pointing up and with a horizontal line through the middle of it, yellow
water: a triangle pointing down, blue
earth: a triangle pointing down and with a horizontal line through the middle of it, brown and green
