Pagan Deities

There are many many Deities associated with Pagan religions. Here are just a few examples.

Anu- Dana and Danu are other names to refer to Her by. She is the Mother Goddess.

Arawan- The Lord of the Underworld, which is a paradise of peace and abundance.

Belenus- Bel, Belinus meaning 'shining'. Celtic fire or solar God, often equated with Apollo.

Brigid- The Goddess of healing, inspiration, and craftspeople

Coventina- Goddess of springs and waters

Cernunnos or Kernunnos- The Horned God. He takes the form of a man with the horns of a stag. he is the universal Father.

Cerridwen- The Goddess of the Moon, the harvest, and inspiration. She is often seen as an old hag, stirring the cauldron of knowledge

Herne- The God of the Underworld. He is the leader of the phantom hunt and He is usually depicted with the antlers of a stag.

Morrigan- The Goddess of war, fertility, and vegetation. She is the Queen of the demons and has three faces. In Her warlike aspect, she appears as a bat with red eyebrows. She can also appear as a raven, crow, or horse

APHRODITE- The Goddess of sexuality, love, and beauty. She is a beautiful and often naked young woman. She can be seen carrying a dove or stepping out of the sea.

APOLLO- The God of healing and the arts. He is young and handsome. He carries a lyre, a bow, and arrows, and he drives a golden chariot.

ARTEMIS- The Goddess of the Moon, the hunt, and women. A beautiful maiden, she carries a bow and quiver of arrows. Often birds, deer, or lions accompany her.

DEMETER- The Goddess of the harvest. She is an old woman and the mother of Persephone. She often weeps because she and Persephone have been separated.

ATHENA- The Goddess of wisdom. She is a beautiful and serious young woman. A warrior, she wears a breastplate and helmet and carries a lance and a shield. Sometimes she has an owl with her. She is associated with the olive tree.

HADES- The God of the underworld and of wealth. He is also king of the dead. A mature man, he wears a beard and a helmet and often is seen on a throne next to his young wife Persephone.

HECATE- The Goddess of magic and the Moon. She can take a few different forms and is also associated with the underworld. She often carries a torch and has snakes in her hair. She can have three heads-- those of the maiden, mother, and crone. She can be found at the spot where three roads meet.

EROS- The Greek God of sexual attraction. He is a small and beautifully formed young man with wings.He often carries a lyre or a bow and a quiver of arrows.

GAIA- The Mother Earth. She sits on a throne and holds many fruits, grains, and vegetables often in a cornucopia. She is a mature woman and usually wears a robe.

PAN- The God of wild places and things and of shepherds. Pan plays a set of connected pipes called panpipes. He takes a form that is half man and half goat. His legs and feet are of the goat, while his upper body are that of a hairy man. He usually has horns.

PERSEPHONE- The Goddess of the harvest, fertility, and spring. She often is seen sitting on a throne in the underworld, where she spends a number of months every year. Sometimes she carries a pomegranate. She is also called "Kore", the maiden.

Truth spell

Materials:
~White candle for truth, Blue candle for wisdom
~Paper to write runes on (nice paper would probably work better than lined. you can take it out of the bos you bought me ;-])
~Writing impliment (ahahahahha big word)
~Mirror
~Alter



Other Tips:
*best done: full moon or on a wednesday
*candles: white (truth) blue (wisdom)
*runes:
t: tiwaz: tiw, the god of battles and legislation. protector of warriors. compassion, courage.
r: raidho: a journey, arrival, departure. union or reunion.
u: uruz: physical or mental strength.
th: thurisaz: giant, monster, demon or devil reflecting this original meaning.
*put a pentacle on the alter
*aquarius incense (optional)



Preperations:
*Drink green tea with rosemary, honey, and ginseng (if you have these, i have honey) mixed in before the spell.
*Don't just start the circle. center yourself, and completely clear your mind. just focus on the magick, not the outcome.



Ritual Action:
*cast circle
*invoke the goddess and the god
*invoke the elements
*say, "oracles from up above,
show the face of my true love. let my heart lead me to where true love will be
found, let me be there."
*write the runes for t, r, u, and th on the paper and define their meanings.
*scrying with a mirror, say, "let the future be seen from
this pain of the past,let the truth be shown and this pain be the
last"
scry for a lil while.
*when you feel its right, say this

"slowly taking from my youth, all i seek for is the truth.
goddess of wisdom, hear my plight,
share with me your endless insight.
blue of wisdom, white of truth,
drain away my lingering ruth."

*meditate for a while. let your mind wander.
*revoke the elements
*revoke the goddess and the god
*Say some form of a binding spell, somethin like,
by the power of 3x3
the results of this magick are bound to me.
*close circle.
